Thank You for a Wonderful 2025

As 2025 comes to a close, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to every reader, collector, and visitor who has been part of DearJuneCollectibles.com this year. Whether you followed our educational blog posts, browsed the category features, or added a vintage treasure from our eBay store to your own collection, thank you for making this journey so rewarding. Your enthusiasm for history’s tangible pieces – from quirky flea-market finds to cherished family heirlooms – is what keeps this community vibrant and fun.

2025 Highlights: What We Shared and Learned

This year, the blog explored a wide range of collecting topics and tips. Here are a few highlights from 2025:

  • Trivets – Functional Art for the Kitchen: We discovered how decorative trivets bridge the gap between utility and style. These “small” collectibles can quickly multiply into an eclectic collection, and for good reason – trivets were made to save our tables from hot dishes, yet many were designed with real flair and creativity. In our posts we discussed how to build a focused trivet collection (from cast iron to tile pieces) and even provided a handy checklist to help you spot quality pieces during your thrift hunts.
  • Vintage Signs and Americana: In December we dove into the world of old advertising signs – from sturdy porcelain and tin signs to glowing neon lights and roadside marquees. Few collectibles tell the story of everyday life as vividly as signs do. They weren’t just made to advertise a product; they became local landmarks and nostalgia carriers. We talked about how these signs sit at the crossroads of art, commerce, technology, and memory, turning practical objects into emotional ones that transport us to bygone eras.
  • Rustic Folk Art Treasures: We also celebrated folk art in the form of rustic, hand-painted signs and other one-of-a-kind creations. These pieces of Americana showed how personal and local history can turn into collectible art. Often made quickly, locally, and by hand, an old wooden shop sign or a community bulletin poster isn’t just an advertisement – it’s a story about the people and places of its time. Highlighting these folk treasures reminded us that sometimes the most authentic history is found in humble, handmade objects.
  • Collector’s Corner – Tips & Tricks: Every step of the way, we included practical collector advice in our posts. From guiding you on how to start small and affordable when beginning a new collection, to stressing the importance of item condition, research, and proper preservation, we aimed to make the hobby approachable. Whether it was a checklist for evaluating a trivet’s quality or pointers on caring for delicate art glass, these tips were shared to help you collect with confidence and keep your treasures safe for the future.

Each topic we covered – be it kitchenware or neon art, folk crafts or memorabilia – was driven by a love of history you can hold. It has been amazing to learn alongside you through researching these posts and hearing your feedback. Many of you shared stories and memories sparked by our articles, which is exactly what Dear June Collectibles is all about: connecting through the history in our hands.

Serving Collectors Through Content and Community

Beyond the blog, we also continued to serve the collector community through our eBay store. This year we added many new vintage and antique finds to the shop, and it’s been a joy to see those items find happy new homes. To everyone who browsed the listings, asked questions, or made a purchase – thank you for your support. I hope each piece you picked up brings a bit of history into your home and becomes a talking point in your collection. Every sale, comment, and email exchange has reaffirmed why I started this site: to share the stories behind objects and to help fellow collectors discover pieces that speak to them. We’re not just buying and selling antiques – we’re making sure history lives on, one item at a time.

And of course, a big thank-you to those who simply stopped by the blog to read or left a comment. Your time and enthusiasm mean the world to me. This year, we’ve grown a little community of history buffs and treasure hunters. From long-time collectors to curious newcomers, everyone is welcome here – and seeing you engage with our content (whether by reminiscing about a childhood trinket or debating the best way to display old posters) has been the highlight of my year.

Looking Ahead to 2026

Looking ahead, I’m excited about what 2026 has in store for Dear June Collectibles. The new year will bring more blog posts on fascinating collecting categories – there are still so many corners of history to explore together, and I’ve been jotting down ideas on everything from mid-century design trends to folk crafts and beyond. I also plan to continue adding fresh finds to our eBay shop regularly, so you might just discover that special piece you’ve been hunting for. While I won’t make any big predictions or promises, I can say that my passion for uncovering stories and sharing collectibles with you is as strong as ever. I hope you’ll stick around for the journey in 2026!

In the meantime, I wish you all a Happy New Year. Thank you once again for being part of Dear June Collectibles – your support and camaraderie make this more than a blog or a store; it’s a shared adventure in preserving history. I’m truly grateful to each and every one of you for 2025, and I can’t wait to continue exploring the past with you in the year ahead.
